23 SEPTEMBER 2013

Hi All,
Dylan Brown here,
Dad and myself went out off double island point for a bit of a fish and it was very productive.
Before we went out I popped into hookedon to grab few lures mainly Z-MAN soft plastics in opening night colour and the good old white colour.

When we got to Tin Can Bay and put the boat in. We headed out to bar I was getting so pumped with adrenalin it was the best feeling. Once we got out the bar the conditions were prime there was about 0.5m of swell and it was blowing about 5 knots.

When we arrived at our first spot the sounder was loaded with fish so I got out my rod and the choice of gear I was using was a 5000fj stradic spooled with 30lb braid and 40lb leader and a 3-8kg redback rod with a 2oz nitro jig head and a Z-MAN streakz in opening night colour. Once my lure hit the bottom fish were all over it I was pulling fish after fish it was so good.

cheers dylan

Glenn Allen with a nice cobia

We attempted the Banks, but too rough, so went to the coffees . Lots of moves around, lots of berley down for 1 cobia, 1 x 680mm snapper(best) plus 7 other snapper and pearlies just above the limits. Pink shine grubs, pillies and prawn did the damage all on light gear.
Cheers, Glenn

Hi All,
Jarryd Gunter when for a fish with Luke Vander Kruk. They fished the 1st Ski Run for some nice Jewfish.

They ended up landing 3 and dropping a couple.

60cm is getting closer to the legal length of 75cm. Great job Boys.

Hey guys Andy here.

I fished Tewantin on my kayak and produced flathead and trevally.

Flathead were smashing my Berkley Powerbait around the Lake Doonella bridge and following it right up to the kayak.

The trevally I caught was around the Council Chambers area of the river.

I then ventured on to Goat Island, didn't have much luck until on my last cast my Atomic Plazo was mauled by something big, but didn't hook up.

I am still wondering how big it could have been if I had had a 2/0 jig on.

All in all a great day on the water.

Hi All,
I Went for a fish with Jackson Doyle from Hooked Angling On & Outdoors this morning.

It was a beautiful morning on the water, we ended up catching a couple of GT's, 2 small cod and a bream.

Things were a little quiet but still great to be on the water before starting work at 9am.

The fish all came off the bottom Trevally were on OSP Dolive Craw's very cool little plastic and the little cod liked the Strike Pro Vibe Blade.
